Cohesion~!

Today, we a half day at work. had our branch cohesion at mind cafe.. was the "organizer" for this event laa.. had lots of help frm leomund the lemon and leslie.. did alot of liasing wif the mind cafe ppl.. we had to rush down earlier than the others to try to coordinate wif the staff.. we had a quick bite at kfc, buddy meal + 1x 2 pc chicken meal for les, me and leo. we proceeded to the venue to find almost every regular there alr.. hahaz...... waited for the nsfs to arrive lor.. particular, our side one, was the latest.. dunno why.. haizzz...
it was fun la, and it was pretty cheap too.. 6bucks happy hour for 4hrs.. (thx to our dear leslie who arranged for this) tho we only played for 2.5-3hrs.. it was quite worth it, i feel.. the staff were vry helpful to us and many of the event participants (friends and superiors of my branch) were obliging.. (safe, for some shy ppl around) it was a great event, i mus say.. if we overlook the minor flaws. nt bad for a last minute arrangement eh? :) was the event "photographer".. nt that well taken tho... cos.. alot of movement was required.. will upload the pics when i get them frm sherms. :) also had a mini "presentation" for sherms and zhuomin.. jus glad tat they r willing to join in despite leaving us alr..

anyways, today was quite nice la, i feel.. will probably organize a mini cohesion for our own peeps (no superiors!) some-time.. hmm.. anyway, i am actually quite keen for some night cycling to road side stalls, aft that enjoyable night wif kang and justin.. the night scenery of singapore aint too shabby.. and the roads are mostly free.. hahaz.. tho might take some time to get home.. but its quite fun! anyone?
now off to bathe! no work tml! YAY!

yet another long weekend zoom pass..

hmm.. It was a long wkend due to the deepavali festivities.. really didnt do much justice to this extended holiday.. fell asleep on the sofa on 2 nights (fri and sun) and spent one night night-cycling wif some frens frm army and some Siglap CC ppl.. so its kinda like nt enuff rest.. oh wellz, at least the wkend was chuck full of activities?
Friday night was the killer, damn tired frm work, so rested a while on the sofa.. awhile turned out to be till 5am! switched over to my mattress at 5am and cont sleeping till 8+.. surfed abit of web and dota-ed wif ric abit on the sat morning.. evening was out meeting justin and kang for the night cycling thingie at ECP. Was quite okay la, only thing is the speed was abit slow during the journey towards lau pa sat, probably due to the presence of a MP (Mr Chan Soo Sen, former Minister of State and MP of Joo Chiat).. He was the Guest-Of-Honour for the event.. everything was too, how-you-say, orderly and lawful... stopping at traffic lights even when no vehicles were around (mind you, we were cycling past midnight..) the "To" journey took abt 1hr++.. We then had a sumptuous supper at lau pa sat.. had stingray, satay and more stingray! lol.. the stingray was gooooood.. :) bagus! had sugarcane drinks too.. MR Chan left aft the supper and we continued..
the ride back was less restricted (possibly cos less cars on the road and we had excess energy to spend aft such a full meal). speed up quite abit, took us only abt 30-1hr to complete the ride back, which wasnt tat long aft all.. in all a 22km ride, hows that for a work out =P (though we probably ate more calories than we burned). Anyway, the other peeps left at arnd 3.. left me, justin and kang.. slept/played/talked till 8am.. during which, some "totally-forgettable-incident regarding a filipino and me" happened. don't really wish to talk abt it here tho. =P
went back home and reached at abt 9plus/10, ate my lunch and then met david at penn shopping centre to search for g-u-i-t-a-r.. (one of my "
resolutions" for the year was to pick up a musical instrument). when we got there, "Davis" was closed!!! URGH!! the guitar shop that sold some really beginner-friendly guitars was CLOSED!!! OMG! SO SUAY LOR!! walked arnd abit.. tried a TGM and a J&D.. TGM was ok but the handle was abit big whereas the J&D had a cheap sounding tone (so says david.. hahaz, i seriously dunno one).. went around the shops another time.. found, MAESTRO!! the guy actually came back from lunch, thot the shop was closed sia.. heng.. went inside tried SD-1, which was something i was checking out online. nice tone, and the color was purrrfect.. '
this is itnice isnt it? bought it! lugged it back home lor.. been trying to play (only noise comes out, so far).. knocked out on the sofa once again, this time watching the 933FM music awards.. only woke up at arnd 3 to shutdown the com and go back to sleep! haha..
woke up today, wanted to go swim, but sian leh.. sky abit dark dark.. run oso cannot.. ended up cycling at home on my stationary bike.. (comes in useful on these days, and my butt area still hurts frm sat night's cycling) ate lunch and went out to meet justin and gang (frm camp) at amk hub for pool. i totally kena pawned la.. dejected sia.. think they play too much.. i shud stick to playing wif noobs :) anywayz, went to "tea/lunch" (lunch for those who skipped it) at abt 3.. then went for lan gaming.. played BF:viet, which was.... SIAN! super slow running speed lah! travelling was uber sian.. esp if u travelled for the past 2min+ and end up the viet enemy shot u within 5s of engagement.. how to spell SI BEI SIAN? (oops i just did).. oh well.. played dota.. kena OWN-ED by jovin la.. he pro.. think its the power of playing league? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... thats all for my deepavali long wkend.. this fri still got guard duty sia.. effectively cut short my weekend T_T but okayz laaa.. gonna spend the sat and sun resting at home (if nth really crops up again). tml is TUES WOOHOO!!! NO MONDAY BLUES!!

yet the end of another wkend..... a busy wk has passed.. closer to ord by 7days alr! hurray! learnt SAR21 handling tis wk.. next wk will be going to the range for firing.. hope to pass :)
nuff of ns matters, went out wif some sec sch guys aft booking out frm camp.. met wif bren for movie at amk hub.. watched the "Dark Knight"
the movie had this dark atmosphere arnd it, which fitted the image of the batman rather appropriately. other than the usual cool gadgets and tough buckling action, the introduction of the joker was the highlight of the show.. heath ledger gave the performance of his life in this show.. sadist and erratic, the fear factor of his portrayal pawns any "evil nemesis" out there. the sole disappointment of the show has to be the downfall of harvey dent.. harvey 2-face was a great villain in the comics and cartoon series, tho nt as great as joker, penguin but, still nt like a pathetic madman seeking for revenge on behalf of his dead fiance and kill ppl wif a pistol.. tho i mus admit, the special effects makeup / animation of his "half-face" was preeeeettttyyyyy good.
went to meet ric and the some sec sch mates aft tat.. managed to join for a game of pool (which i buried white balls again) and played lan wif the guys... BF2, CS and dota.. of which, i tink my team oni won in bf2, tho we got pawned in all the areas, we "by luck" managed to kill all of the opposition team and capture all the flags.. played as a medic, u see.. so i was riding arnd in my safety rover.. hahaz.. so fun. dota, my heroes were all early gamers.. so i cud pawn the opposition early on, budden cant win late game one.. sian. oh well...
