sunday! another wk sia.. coming close to 30wks to ord alr.. wah seh.. :) can see it liao! hmm.. stay at hm today.. except for my super duper long run.. 9km today.. took me all e way to sengkang, near st anne church to sengkang cc down to imh till near seagate then back down to bowen and back on ave 8 till punggol pri... wah seh.. vry long run sia... took me 1hr 6min.. but happy la.. sense of achievement :)

Bu Liang Xiao Hua starring Rainie and wilbur.. hahaz.. damn funny la, the show.. rainie took on an ugly role tis time.. super duper out-of-fashion girl meets foul mouthed fashion expert and hw they ended up being together.. superb show man! mus watch! showing on ch u soon.. mid dec i tink.. so watch out for it! :)

went to sitex today with edmund, hanmeng and leslie.. met at bedok int, leslie late sia! somemore he stay bedok.. tsk tsk tsk.. anyway, had lunch at the bedok int de hawker ctr. i ate cutlet chicken rice wif mayonnaise sauce.. quite good, i mus say.. and affordable @ 3.20 oni.. but can see, wif all these rising prices, food prices oso nt spared.. hais.. made our way down to expo on bus 38. damn long sia... shud haf taken mrt -.-"

quite alot of ppl at sitex there.. guess everyone is looking for that cheap bargain. hahaz.. went arnd and scouted for our respective "target". hm and his gps, edmund and his thumbdrive, leslie and his mp3 player + hdd and my own ram + hdd..

ok la, in the end, bought my 160gb hdd at 75.. quite cheap i mus say.. rewards for holding out for 1yr? last yr the price was like 1gb 1 dollar... 160gb wud set me back upwards of 150 dollars.. now, only half the price.. cud be partly due to the emergence of larger capacity drives (cue 1TB drive -> OMMMMMMMMMMGG!!!!). settled for the 75 hitachi drive over maxtor's 79 and 89 models.. figured tat i didnt nid something fancy (auto backup, one button power up thingy?), jus basic drive to store my stuff and backup important info (y do u nid to backup ur backup aniway? wanna backup ur backup's backup too? -.-").. and hitachi aint a shabby brand aniways.. ^_^

my ram was a more straight forward buy, not many shops were offering ram, i guess.. only those "main" computer shops.. jus went to this shop wif a big kingston logo (always trust the best ;) ) and bought mine lor.. 18 bucks for 1 1gb DDR2 533mhz ram.. same for the other mhz but my motherboard can oni support 533, so buy higher oso no use.. bought 2.. so now i got 2gb ram! wooohooo! can game abit more liao :) the installation was abit hard tho... cos my graphic card was blocking the ram's release hatch.. zzzz... and i was too lazy to remove the graphics card.. (not to mention the possibility of it not working if i put it back wrongly).. took me arnd 20min.............................. urgh.. ok la.. now its up and running.. happy! dota anione ? =P
haha.. met up wif aRon today! wah.. its been like 1yr 6mths since we last saw each other? arnd the enlistment time sia.. NS seems to pull us poly pals apart sia.. everyone had been busy wif their own stuff. too busy to coordinate a timing for meeting up.. haiz.. do miss some of them tho.. esp ethan.. haissss... oh well, was a fun meeting anyways, but to clarify, aron still the same sia.. looks the same, behave the same (late again dey!) and dresses the same lor.. like time stopped at the pt of 1.5 yrs ago.. we watched Cape No. 7:



damn nice movie la... love story + movie that teaches ppl to dare to dream.. abt 7 unlikely characters coming together to form a rockband for the town's (hengchun) event.. and also a parallel love story abt something umpty yrs ago between a jap teacher and a taiwanese student.. van was fantastic in the movie! finally found his break, i guess.. damn gd singing too.. :)

walked arnd abit aft that.. window shopped arnd.. :) hope got more opportunities like this ba! :)

Mum cooked bday mian xian for my 21st:



spent my 21st wif my budds from sec sch, ric and bren.. went to secret recipe for my "bday dinner". Took this chicken cutlet thingie that has cheese and ham hidden inside.. damn good sia.. oso drank milkshake.. heres the pic of the cutlet thingie:

went into the cinema to watch madagascar 2. not bad la.. funny and entertaining thru-out, teaching abit of family values too.. relaxing movie for the whole family :)



Went off to kbox at hougang. (bren left early zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..) crooned lots of tunes man... till almost outta voice alr... but fun bday :)

hmm.. 21 le.
today (20th) was okay.. finally got to catch up on sleep.. feel happy la. so long nv sleep so much liao.. :) played abit of games, guitar and my usual websurfing. mom was at home, so nt tat bored bah? gonna go slp soon.. yawnz.. pass 12 le.. one more day! funny, when ur small, u always look forward to the day u grow up.. like cant wait to turn into an adult.. but as i really approach this golden mark of 21, i wish the time would slow down.. responsibility is starting pile on me, no longer can i feint ignorance and make mistakes like a child could, nor enjoy the shelter and protection that others would provide me. now i will haf stand up, do as a man should and provide for my family and loved ones..

if only i could turn back to the good old days in sec and poly.. there are some things which i had done that i wished i didnt.. perhaps some friendships could have been salvaged?

As previously blogged, had my branch cohesion tis wk. friday was a well-deserved rest day for me.. slacked at home, played games for a bit, and went out to collect my new biometric passport :) the process was quite long tho... took me 1hr+++ to get it.. but ok la, 400 ppl in the queue aint no joke.. guess tis the peak season with all the school hols coming up (pri, sec, jc and uni.. poly jus started sch nt long, i guess. but midterm break may be coming up)..

met ric at hg mall on sat. wah seh, he machiam wanna dress up liddat. can say his style of dressing changed liao bah.. topshop shirt seh, somemore, wear contact lens liao.. ai mei sia! ok la, gd change, to wanna look better, be it for urself or for someone u like. :) we went to suntec to walk walk. alot of ppl sia.. bumped into a few familiar faces here and there. but nth much i guess.. the "electronics fair" was a hoax and so was the book fair.. went out with bren aft tat, had dinner at mac. ate the "new" mega mcspicy burger.. a more exp, good-old mc spicy double of the old times.. sort of remind me of the time of my first love bah. last time always like to eat that one. hahaz. watched quantum of solace after that.. aint that bad as ppl say.. but this "bond" by craig is a tad too bloody and gets injured all e time.. (compared to previous bonds) the female lead in this show oso nt vry gd... lack charisma, lack indepth character development as well. nevertheless, still a good movie with all e bond action, amazing bond cars and cool fighting scenes.. a must watch for this month :)



Also finished two drama series this week:

namely hotshot and corner with love.. both starring show luo.

the hotshot finale had almost everything but the ending was pretty lame.. the coach, li yin died after "drawing" the match wif the dream team wif her pi li wolves team. and in an amazing turn of events, former enemy of basketball prodigy dong fang xiang, Chan, came to help the team for its showdown. his magical linkup play wif dfx and yuan da ying (who finally managed to learn his foster granny's ultimate move, the unpredictable dribbling skill) proved to be too much of a handful for the genius dream team led by wu ji zun and his bro. but what leaves a sour taste in my mouth is the lack of a proper ending.. nth abt jie er or the girl who "an lian-ed" ydy or any other developments abt the team... only some weird tri-challenge bball thingy btw wjz,ydy and dfx. ok la.. looking forward to a new drama soon :)



I just finished this show a couple of hrs ago. Corner with Love. starred by show luo and Da S. its abt a pampered princess, xi lei whose family went broke (and her fiance leaving her aft tat_ and her twist of fate wif oyster omelette chef cum aspiring artist, qin lang. they start out as bickering enemies and teacher-student relationship (xi lei was learning hw to cook oyster omelette for fun). the show brings us thru an emotional roller coaster whereby the two leads often miss each other by a hair's breadth and the result is always quarrels due to misunderstanding of their feelings for each other. obstacles include qin lang's childhood good fren(xiao yang), a touring jap pianist (an teng) and xi lei's ex fiance. but as per norm for taiwanese drama (all drama for that matter), the leads always get to together and finally they live happily ever after.. was a great show, made me fall in love wif show luo's "ai zhuan jiao" song.. I took a while to finally start watching tis show (produced in 2007) but its nv too late to appreciate a gd drama. :)




TML is monday!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! nvm.. hope the wk will pass fast :) cheers :)

Today, we a half day at work. had our branch cohesion at mind cafe.. was the "organizer" for this event laa.. had lots of help frm leomund the lemon and leslie.. did alot of liasing wif the mind cafe ppl.. we had to rush down earlier than the others to try to coordinate wif the staff.. we had a quick bite at kfc, buddy meal + 1x 2 pc chicken meal for les, me and leo. we proceeded to the venue to find almost every regular there alr.. hahaz...... waited for the nsfs to arrive lor.. particular, our side one, was the latest.. dunno why.. haizzz...

it was fun la, and it was pretty cheap too.. 6bucks happy hour for 4hrs.. (thx to our dear leslie who arranged for this) tho we only played for 2.5-3hrs.. it was quite worth it, i feel.. the staff were vry helpful to us and many of the event participants (friends and superiors of my branch) were obliging.. (safe, for some shy ppl around) it was a great event, i mus say.. if we overlook the minor flaws. nt bad for a last minute arrangement eh? :) was the event "photographer".. nt that well taken tho... cos.. alot of movement was required.. will upload the pics when i get them frm sherms. :) also had a mini "presentation" for sherms and zhuomin.. jus glad tat they r willing to join in despite leaving us alr..

anyways, today was quite nice la, i feel.. will probably organize a mini cohesion for our own peeps (no superiors!) some-time.. hmm.. anyway, i am actually quite keen for some night cycling to road side stalls, aft that enjoyable night wif kang and justin.. the night scenery of singapore aint too shabby.. and the roads are mostly free.. hahaz.. tho might take some time to get home.. but its quite fun! anyone?

tml is the start of my "week" alr.. sian la, tml haf to wake up early to do guard.. machiam weekend burn liao..

the week was okay, i guess, just pretty busy, cos of the major event in my section.. ended on thurs.. now picking up some of the aftermath.. like data entry and verification. then kena arrow again.. to suggest some workable idea thing for the branch.. sian.. but this thurs shud be our branch cohesion le! hurray! but haf to collect money frm the guys also.. cos i "planning" it (in name only bah.. so far, leslie has been a GREAT GREAT help!!) gonna go mind cafe! nt bad a location but hope to really wind down bah.. the start of great days ahead! HURRAY! :)

as for today, went swimming, cam back, dota-ed with ric against AI.. i seemed to have improved liao leh.. somehow.. hahaz... then strum strum wif my guitar abit.. not making much progress alr. but can see my single string playing is getting a teeny bit more flexible.. now to train my chords bah! :) i wish tml will be a smooth day! anyone wanna ka jiao me, feel free, co i will be bored anywayz. :)
hmm. was halloween on fri 31/10/08.. so sad lor. did guard duty in camp.. si bei sian!!!!! somemore, even though me and edmund had written down our names alr.. kena reshuffled cos gt some noobies nv do guard in gedong b4 so haf to assign someone to guide lor.. sian.. then the grd comm pick me.. cos i cpl. cpl = lao jiao? (7mths left so.. i guess?) sian laaaaaa...... then prowl somemore is first detail.. the most sian one.. least rest and most duties.. :( anyway, i guess i am still quite loved by god la.. the DOO (supposed to be quite f-ed up and like to turn out ppl at weird timings) was pretty quiet that day.. had the maximum sleep my duty could had allowed me to.. and then it rained in the morning with thunder, so the weather was deemed unsafe to carry on with duty.. cud sleep somemore in the morning :) returned our arms early at arnd 8+ and took evan's car out.. yippeee.. reached hm at arnd 10 lor! early sia!!! happy! mus thank evan la.. no nid walk out and wait for 975, so shaved off alot of time sia..

anyway, went home to slp abit then went out to buy my new monitor (the old one broke down halfway thru a dota game).. bought this:

which is an acer 15" lcd monitor.. got it at 188 (with some nets svc charge became 191).. hahaz.. ok la quite cheap i feel, for a low end lcd monitor bah? :) dragged it back hm from SLS.. and now using it.. :)

spent the sunday slacking at hm.... sleeping somemore.. and eating.. watched high school music on a stream.. nt bad la the show.. tho los out significantly on quality and plot compared to the previous two.. and there is no real conclusion to the series.. but still its fun.. hope the sing along vers come out soon.. then i go watch again. :)

Ate wif my family at the newly opened coffeeshop near my area to celeb his bday (on the 5th, may have to stay in camp that day).. then come back, practice abit of guitar (now i can ply london bridge, mary had a little lamb and abit of amazing grace but note by note only.. have not moved on to chord playing yet..) tml is another wk... hai!! off to slp! :S
