hmm.. It was a long wkend due to the deepavali festivities.. really didnt do much justice to this extended holiday.. fell asleep on the sofa on 2 nights (fri and sun) and spent one night night-cycling wif some frens frm army and some Siglap CC ppl.. so its kinda like nt enuff rest.. oh wellz, at least the wkend was chuck full of activities?
Friday night was the killer, damn tired frm work, so rested a while on the sofa.. awhile turned out to be till 5am! switched over to my mattress at 5am and cont sleeping till 8+.. surfed abit of web and dota-ed wif ric abit on the sat morning.. evening was out meeting justin and kang for the night cycling thingie at ECP. Was quite okay la, only thing is the speed was abit slow during the journey towards lau pa sat, probably due to the presence of a MP (Mr Chan Soo Sen, former Minister of State and MP of Joo Chiat).. He was the Guest-Of-Honour for the event.. everything was too, how-you-say, orderly and lawful... stopping at traffic lights even when no vehicles were around (mind you, we were cycling past midnight..) the "To" journey took abt 1hr++.. We then had a sumptuous supper at lau pa sat.. had stingray, satay and more stingray! lol.. the stingray was gooooood.. :) bagus! had sugarcane drinks too.. MR Chan left aft the supper and we continued..
the ride back was less restricted (possibly cos less cars on the road and we had excess energy to spend aft such a full meal). speed up quite abit, took us only abt 30-1hr to complete the ride back, which wasnt tat long aft all.. in all a 22km ride, hows that for a work out =P (though we probably ate more calories than we burned). Anyway, the other peeps left at arnd 3.. left me, justin and kang.. slept/played/talked till 8am.. during which, some "totally-forgettable-incident regarding a filipino and me" happened. don't really wish to talk abt it here tho. =P
went back home and reached at abt 9plus/10, ate my lunch and then met david at penn shopping centre to search for g-u-i-t-a-r.. (one of my "resolutions" for the year was to pick up a musical instrument). when we got there, "Davis" was closed!!! URGH!! the guitar shop that sold some really beginner-friendly guitars was CLOSED!!! OMG! SO SUAY LOR!! walked arnd abit.. tried a TGM and a J&D.. TGM was ok but the handle was abit big whereas the J&D had a cheap sounding tone (so says david.. hahaz, i seriously dunno one).. went around the shops another time.. found, MAESTRO!! the guy actually came back from lunch, thot the shop was closed sia.. heng.. went inside tried SD-1, which was something i was checking out online. nice tone, and the color was purrrfect.. '
nice isnt it? bought it! lugged it back home lor.. been trying to play (only noise comes out, so far).. knocked out on the sofa once again, this time watching the 933FM music awards.. only woke up at arnd 3 to shutdown the com and go back to sleep! haha..
woke up today, wanted to go swim, but sian leh.. sky abit dark dark.. run oso cannot.. ended up cycling at home on my stationary bike.. (comes in useful on these days, and my butt area still hurts frm sat night's cycling) ate lunch and went out to meet justin and gang (frm camp) at amk hub for pool. i totally kena pawned la.. dejected sia.. think they play too much.. i shud stick to playing wif noobs :) anywayz, went to "tea/lunch" (lunch for those who skipped it) at abt 3.. then went for lan gaming.. played BF:viet, which was.... SIAN! super slow running speed lah! travelling was uber sian.. esp if u travelled for the past 2min+ and end up the viet enemy shot u within 5s of engagement.. how to spell SI BEI SIAN? (oops i just did).. oh well.. played dota.. kena OWN-ED by jovin la.. he pro.. think its the power of playing league? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... thats all for my deepavali long wkend.. this fri still got guard duty sia.. effectively cut short my weekend T_T but okayz laaa.. gonna spend the sat and sun resting at home (if nth really crops up again). tml is TUES WOOHOO!!! NO MONDAY BLUES!!

Jason alerted me on this.. probably "skipped" the news ytd during my dota games (oops).. anyway, haf a look at this video first:
I sort of agree with him on this, the irony behind this.. But i feel this is a sensitive topic that should not be touched on, as many of us out here arent fortunate enough to be accepted into one of the 3 "prestigious" universities in Singapore. Though a fourth one is coming up, i feel, there will still be many who will be shut out of its doors, with all the uni competition and ranking stuff going and etc. Hence I do not feel that it will be realistic to demand certain qualifications in a mate (hey, who knows what you might be missing out there?), but i feel instead, we should lower our expectations of the kids, going to a uni is fine, but letting the child develop genuine interest in whatever he/she studies should be the whole focus.. hahaz..
thinking too much.. bleahz.

went out with bren and ric aft work on fri for movie and dinner.. had originally planned karaoke session but someone backed out so bo pian lor.. watched this show, "20th century boys" which was kinda like a big let-down for me, cos the promos for it was so good.. but the story seems lacking in every aspect (chio bu actress become aunty actress, lack of catchy theme song, an intriguing plot).. the part on "friend" became so utterly intolerable towards the end, kinda irritating.. tho he seemed ok at first.. cud be the skill-less character portrayal by the actor? anyway, nt a movie recommended to catch, both boring and draggy..
as we headed back, due to ric's lack of decisive judgement, we missed the last 74, but ok la, in e end went to hg plaza for lan till 5 plus.. kinda "owned" abit.. guess, picking up tips frm frens really works? but still suck in CS lol.. slept at arnd 6plus and went out at 10am for polyclinic visit.. hardly slept 4hrs.. got some mdication for my sinus prob oso.. nt bad.. works quite well..
met david at dhobyghaut area at around 2pm on sat, as he went to buy a friggin' 690dollar guitar.. wth?! so rich lor.. 690 can buy...... 138 macdonald value meals sia!! can eat for 1mth!!!!!!!! oh well, at least its decent sounding, and quite nice looking. budden abit shorter, probably more suited for gals than the long limbed muscleman-monster-thingy.
Sunday was a slack day man.. sleep, eat, shit, play and some exercising on the stationary bike. :) hopefully a short wk ahead!

a dull day, today.. stayed at home all day.. sleep and come online, thats abt all.. ohoh, and went running arnd the estate again.. not bad, you guys/girls should try it too.. anyway, i map my running distance at this site map my run.com. it calculates the distance of the points you plotted, quite nice feature, together with the training log, i can actually count how much i ran in the wkends! ^_^

went out wif ah wan on saturday (11/10) for movie. met at vivo for lunch at ljs.. they r havin this promo on 2+1 chicken deal, not too shabby, set me back only abt 5.40 for a really full meal with upsized coke.
watched "House Bunny", which stars Anna Farris as Shelley, a girl who has lived in the playboy mansion since her teens. At her 27th birthday, she was "thrown" out for being too old and left to fend for herself in the outside world. through some luck, she become a housemother at one of the female dorms in a university.. the dorm is made up of various misfits and the school threatened to close the dorm down if they do not get their quota of 30 pledges at the next intake. Shelley helped to transform the girls into gorgeous babes and fit into society. the show is pretty lighthearted, as anna farris plays out the bimbotic dumb blonde role to great effect. A good movie, (esp for guys, with many many gorgeous babes in the show) but comes with a typical good fairytale ending storyline. amidst the economic crisis looming, this lighthearted movie may jus be wat the doctor prescribed for a good relaxing time.
Ate at billy bomber's after that. Had the Obama-burger (not that i am an obama fan or wat), since they were having a 1for1 promo there, 2 sets for only 18plus.. cheap sia! not bad a burger la.. quite filling oso..

Met up wif ric, glen and royston on fri nite/ sat morning for dota at hg plaza.. atmosphere was abit moody but glad that it was all cleared by daybreak. :) seriously need to improve my skills abit.. maybe alot i guess? kinda suck at this kind of games/ any kind of games for that matter.. hand/eye coordination is key but i dun realli have them.. abit too clumsy bah?
anyway, sleep my way thru the whole saturday and sunday afternoons.. chatted wif frens online too, beginning to fear for my "ntu future" cos lisa seems to be having it bad there.. hope tat nxt yr they change the syllabus abit, nt so jia lat for me bah? hahaz.

today went back to camp as usual.... sian... cos got some pending work to complete..... but then... ok lahhhhhh.. still managed to join the guys for dinner and ktv.. tho was late..had a nice curry chicken rice at waraku.. the rice reminds me of tp de jap food.. so miss it lor.. haizzz.. anyone wanna go back and eat?
anywayz, we headed off to partyworld afterwards.. was a fun ktving session, till i sorethroat now liao.. mus go drink water... hahaz! took lots of grp pics and indiv pics.. will get frm my frens when got time bah? had a great time but tiring laaaa... woke up super early today de... now drying my hair.. when dry then go pig in my bed alr... haha!
