Last day of the Year

Ahh.. the annual emo post on 31dec, the last day of the year. it has been a fruitful year i guess as i sit down to reflect on what's happened in the last 12mths of my life.
Jan was still rosy as mr david muscleman joined manpower branch (as a botak and being quite muscular at that time), we had doubts over our afv opr course and all.. and of cos some dxo ranking stuff done wif lta gw who was still wif us at that time.. also, the initial unknown as the new hd mp came in in dec 07...
Feb was love in the air as many ppl rushed to "chop" seats for the beautiful v-day dinner and all.. love themed movies appeared, like juno, ps i luv u (which lead to its misuse into PLATOON sergeant, i luv u) and etc.. again, a lonely v-day pass.. (nt that singlehood is all bad, but u noe, when these days come, u do feel tat it wud be nice to have someone with you to share the mood). and of cos the dreaded toilet(prison?)-break dude, now filming the 10th season (month) of Lost, and the big hoo-haa he caused. Still rem all the patrolling cops at coastlines...
Mar-May was the AFV-opr course =D where i got to noe some wonderful ppl and my first experience driving a motorized vehicle (other than $5 rides at bumper car stations or small little useless toy bikes). And also the all-too-fattening OM-er course at keat hong, which i will NEVER forget the nice western food as well as the nice new camp environment (stark contrast from Sungei Gedong).
Jun was the great/bad time, depending on how you wanna look at it bah.. was "arrowed" for Ops Duty to search for our beloved toiletbreaker at the north region. was a mentally draining duty which will be remembered for cheap soyabean, cao kueh water, roti prata and late night supper deliveries :)
Jul - Aug was a forgettable period i guess.. beijing olmypics and all the training for 21km! ohoh.. branch cohesion at SAFRA and the trip to presidential garden in ISTANA! woohoo!
Sept - Oct was abt meeting frens, prep-ing for the ranking board and also sending off our dear frens off to brunei.. I also had my first ever night cycling event wif justin and kang at joo chiat..
Nov - Dec was Birthday mood! and the ord of two of our buddies in qf and sherms.. also cleared all my lv and offs in this period.. went on a trip to hk and had lots of fun! hehe!
enuff abt my own life.. in the year past, tragedies have occurred, both local (tiger eats zookeeper) and overseas (terrorist in mumbai), both natural (si chuan earthquake) and caused by man (melamine milk poisoning incident).. Economy has also reached a new low since 1997.. for all the bad things that happened in 2008, we can rejoice in the fact that good things have happened too, first F1 race in sg, first olympic silver medal, etc. Lets hope that the year ahead will be GREAT!! Lets hope that more hungry are fed, and families stay happy together.
