according to the "latest" news, SOMETHING BIG HAS HAPPENED! and no... i am NOT referring to the edison chen scandal.. (wun comment on it, primarily becos i am ed too and we both share the same surname..) Apparently whilst all of us were waiting to "knock off" frm work, a Jemaah Islamiyah leader (JI) by the name of Selemat (reminds me of selemat hari raya.. no offense to my malay broz, but the name hardly strikes fear into ppl given his reputation as a JI leader..) managed to escape from whitley detention centre.. he escaped whilst toilet-ing.. which is like... woah! i bet he mus haf planned this for a while.. enuff for him to stage the perfect escape.. Apparently, this man is supposed to be super dangerous and tried to bomb mindef and changi airport..
Security has been tightened, as we now get to see more police officers and gurkas all over singapore.. esp places with high pedestrian flow.. sort of reminescent of singapore's reaction to the london & madrid bombings aftermath... however, i feel that tis is oni to "calm the public" and ease the tenseness of the situation.. well, with a madman on the loose, the last thing the govt wud wan is an adverse public reaction to the event bah? anewayz, with the govt putting police and army on the case.. i guess its a matter of time b4 he is arrested..
till the day he is arrested. i guess army checks wud be more often bah? SECURITY STEP UP!!!

3plus in the morning now.. haven sleep.. hmm.. went out gym and swim early morning.. quite boring, frankly speaking.. haiz.. put on weight alr oso.. now 79 liaoz.. wa piangz.. i guess muscle is heavier than fats? tho i suspect i oso put on fats.. :( managed to change my blogskin in the afternoon oso.. nt bad eh? or at least tats wat i seriously feel lar.. cos feel, new phase in life, deserves a newer blogskin bah? its 2008 for god's sake! :) hmm.. time to slp bah! nite nite :)

urgh.. back to my "day in day out" tuang at hm, and arnd e neighbourhood lifestyle! cos bren now haf to fulfill his role of safeguarding the national security and dun realli haf as many free weekends as b4.. si bei sian arh!
last nite was watching Goong on Ch U and somehw fell asleep on e couch without knowing sia! somehow this thing keep happening to me.. perhaps i am having too little slp ever since i haf enlisted to NS bah? nt too sure abt that myself.. woke up and slpt back for a couple of times until abt 3plus in the morning then i finally decided to move back into my "comfy bed"..
been rather sick recently.. flu, sorethroat, cough.. somehow its kinda seasonal.. was looking back into some of my previous posts and i realised! I WAS SICK IN THE SAME PERIOD OF TIME LAST YEAR! SORETHROAT ALSO SOMEMORE! DAMN! so creepy lorz! better go qiu shen bai fuo tat i can get well :) then agains, it cud oso haf been a "cny" thing..
now gonna go prep liaoz.. gym life alone! gotta get boring! but, for health's sake!!!

Hmm.. Took off on tuesday to send clare off as well as go chill wif gl.. budden, kena pang sei by gl.. si bei sian!! haizzz.... at least, bren was able to meet me up siaz... tat proves one thing.. broz are always the best.. better than all e other so-called "frens" that one can haf.. hmm.. went gym and swimming as usual.. finally managed to hit to 120lbs for lat pull down.. *clapz for myself* hopefully can hit my own bodyweight for this bahz...
after the exercise session, we went to tamp to hunt for the gun models again.. and then we saw century sq's cinema got "kungfu dunk" showing in 3mins time.. then we go watch!! gotta be one of my fastest movie purchase ever man? then also bought popcorn.. (note: my lunch was taken at 3pm and was jus a small sandwich.. so my popcorn meal is justified!)
well.. the movie itself is kinda like okay i guess.. the typical storyline of an orphan (jay chou) brought up by martial arts sch.. then grow up kena exploited by businessman to play bball wif his skills. of cos, he meets wif difficulties which is conveniently solved.. and of cos the highly skilled big baddy played by his good fren in real life, liu gen hong. the cool thing abt this movie is all e high tempo bball moves complimented by cool music.. like e tou fu song by jay chou.. tho the song lyrics dun realli mean anything, but it suited the movie. What cud haf been better is the kung fu moves in the movie.. cud haf been less one sided.. of cos if both teams can use kungfu and fite it out.. that wud be great!! perhaps some tots for the next movie.
Aft the movie, went for a dinner wif bren as well as hunted for his "full set" of rifle mini models! hahaz.. bought over his m16s1 :) finally!!! hohoho! and went over to send clare off at Changi Airport T3.. the place quite nice ambience.. didnt reali haf time to walk tho... perhaps one day can jio a girl i like to go there? Can see that everyone was quite sad.. to see clare off and oso pearlyn.. kinda expected more ppl tho.. felt quite extra there.. cos nt realli part of their clique one.. see her cry alot.. weird, esp since i haf nv seen her cry b4 in the 3yrs in poly.. well.. yet another fren goes overseas for study.. sad.

hmm.. the time has come yet again? for less-than-immediate families to reunite for a much-hated angbao fest.. (little kids luv it tho?) well..
having spent the last 6mths of my life in army, wud be ridiculous if army didnt gif us a CNY celebration of their own.. we had one yesterday.. reunion night.. but damn, i woke up late.. arnd 6.. had to rush and take a taxi.. fking exp lor!! 20bucks! lucky for me, i gt one real easy and was able to reach camp early.. weird... if u ask me.. like 6.40am kinda early.. aniwayz, we had some kinda "aerobics" exercise.. more like bcct sia.. even the instructor is bcct one.. was a fun workout for a change tho, comparing to the normal life run we haf at HQ armour. There was fun and games afterwards.. and a "feast" which was kinda like a buffet.. tho, the cookhse ppl seemed more anxious to keep awy all e food and chase us awy.. idiots.
but ok lar... abit bored after bookout.. so went to bugis walk walk abit.. alone.. quite a few chio bu.. nt bad i guess? maybe i shud hang arnd there more? HAHA! had a nice quiet reunion dinner when i finally got home..
Today was okay i guess.. went over to my "father side" of the family to bai nian.. basically is camp at the hse of one of my aunts and wait for the rest of the family to "arrive for the kill". hahaz! budden oso got see ppl from the other side of my aunt's family.. of which, a particular mention, one rather chio de gal.. to much makeup tho.. but certainly dun look like my type de.. too white liaoz. hmm.. my cousins and distant nephews/nieces all grown up liao sia.. feel so old lor.. came hm rather early to rest.. tml got guard duty back in camp mahz.. sianz... for now.. time to soak in the hols mood.. tml finish the bloody thing and then continue on wif life! lolz.

Hmm.. weird movie.. singing musical while slitting throat.. theres also this dark theme in the movie.. not a movie for those who dun appreciate art. Johnny Depp plays Benjamin Barker, a "naive" barber who was framed by local judge who was jealous of his wife and family.. Affairs of the love, i guess. When the wife poisoned herself due to tis, the judge then proceeded to "adopt" barker's daughters as his own. =S
When Barker finally escaped frm the jail term, he came back as a vengeful devilish barber using the alias Sweeney Todd. He den put up back in his old home at fleet street abv Mrs Lovette's meat pie shop. This mrs lovette happens to haf a "crush" of some sort on barker last time.. So, barker/todd used her as his pawn as well as a "reason" in his quest for vengence.
They killed many in the show, unsurprising given the "bloody" introduction of the movie.. the meat of those who died, are made into meat pies. O.o well.. in e end he finally got his revenge on the judge... after massive killings.. but he oso ended up killing his wife (who didnt actually die from the suicide attempt) and getting his own throat slit.. Weird ending.. but okay lar... nt bad a movie..

been busy this past 2wks.. first was tis weekend guard duty wif glenn which was kinda, my "wildest" since my entry into this unit.. lol.. shant talk too much abt it larr..
was a totally busy weekend last wk lor.. my fri ended at 10pm, saturday started at 9am.. and ended late as well cos of tech mob.. sunday was spent gyming + swimming + running.. sorta like no-lifer liaoz sia.. so tis wk, i aim to finally go out wif my budds! maybe a movie? and of cos my long-awaited CNY shopping! budden i tink tis yr dun nid buy so much oso larz.. since i oni going visiting on one day niaz... CNY guard duty on e 2nd day sia.. wellz, at least got path to accompany me.. ><" kinda suay if u ask me sia.. y always my branch de ppl kenah? mus realli go temple/church/mosque pray pray abit ehz?!
wellz......... lifes nt tat bad tis wk bah? can oni hope it will improve? btw, i tink march liddat, i gonna go for e vocation course liao? hope to ace it and then quickly go back liao? but oso gd opportunity for me to train up my body again... till then... self-discipline!!! :)
